The Last Place We Saw Jimmy is an image that was generated using artificial intelligence (DALL·E 2). The program is an AI that can create realistic images from a brief text description. After generating hundreds of images through various key word variations, the composition was selected and painted by the artist.

The piece is an exploration into the power of technology and its ability to make art within seconds. In comparison, painting the same composition took upwards of 24 hours. The piece itself challenges ownership of AI artwork. If the user needs to type keywords into the program in order for it to generate images, ownership may be 50/50. But what is the ownership when the composition is painted?
