Inspired by an old Toronto loft that has been vacant for years awaiting redevelopment, the 1:20 scale model explores life after the formal 'death' of a space. The model depicts a large window overlooking the city in an abandoned loft. Although previous residents have been gone for years, other signs of more recent life are hidden around. Old rave posters, new greenery, stickers on the pipes, graffiti on the walls, and remnants of artistic scrap left behind. The entire model is handmade using foam to carve brick patterns, and acrylic paint to detail the aging floors.
